Background:-Hypopigmentary disorders constitute a large and heterogenous group of diseases that are clinically characterised by hypopigmented macules .Dermoscopy is non invasive imaging technique allows for appreciation subtle, distinctive features visible to the naked eye aid in differential diagnosis hypopigmentary disorders. Aims &Objective:- To investigate utility dermoscopy In common diseases. Materials &Method:- A series 50 cases was included this case series. Detailed informed consent taken from patients. The following skin were research : vitiligo, Pityriasis versicolor, idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis, nevus depigmentosus, pityriasis alba.All which on treatment excluded study. detailed history dermatological examination done along with Woods light potassium hydroxide (KOH). parameters into consideration while doing these i)Presence altered pigmentation , ii) edge macule iii) presence scales iv) Presence perifollicular pigmentation, reticulation or telangiectasia. Results:- study patients enrolled vitiligo (15 cases), versicolor (12cases ) hypomelanosis (10 ), depigmentosus ( 6 alba (6 ). On lesions showed white glow . whitish brown double edged scales. Idiopathic well defined angulated margins. Nevus Pseudopods. Different patterns like trichrome pattern, Polka dot petaloid seen. Conclusion:- This might display specific characteristic dermoscopic features. Dermoscopic findings should always be interpreted overall clinical context patient macroscopic examination.
